The weekend flew by, and I have little to show for it. I meant to do homework for that conflict resolution class. I have a paper, journal entries, and a lot of reading to do before Friday. I did watch a movie that has conflicts involving cross-cultural communication -- Babel -- so I'll be able to write the paper ... at some point....
Instead of working, I mainly just sat around watching dvds. I did clean today, which was annoying and fulfilling all at the same time. Also, I went dress shopping yesterday. I am going to my friend John Bauschatz's wedding in two weeks, and it's in Raleigh, North Carolina, so it's going to be a hot one. I had to find something that would be appropriate. I ended up buying four dresses. When you find yourself at H&M and you've tried on practically all of the dresses in the store, you can't leave with just one. I had dragged my friend Yu-ju with me, and by the time we were done, we were starving. We decided to have Korean food, since we were near Koreatown. It was super yummy and lots of fun to hang out with Yu-ju.
Tonight I hung out with Kristianna, the work-study who worked in my office, and her boyfriend. We met up for dinner at Columbus Circle, and we happened to meet on the street in front of a diner, so we just went in there to eat. It was nice to finally hang out with Kristianna outside of the office, and to finally meet this boyfriend she's been telling me about for so long. I miss having her around the office, though. Work is just not quite as fun without her!
Oh yeah, in case you were wondering what happened to Shane, he went up to Rochester to see his parents. His dad broke his pelvis in a fall, but luckily it was a clean break, so he just needs to recuperate a few weeks. I spent much needed quality time with Tigger and Bibbo, who are just the sweetest kitties in the whole world!
